Cartier

In 1856 Princess Mathilde, cousin of Emperor Napoleon III purchased her first piece of Cartier, placing the brand in the circle of the Royals and Elites. In 1898 Louis Cartier, grandson of the founder joined the company, later opening a Cartier boutique and launching their 'Garland Style' range of neoclassical inspired Platinum Tiaras with Diamonds.

Louis Cartier also created the first gents wristwatch for his aviator friend Alberto Santos-Dumont, becoming available to the public in 1911, has become one of the most recognizable watch styles in the world, with multiple Cartier designs based off this single watch piece.
